The paper presents the results of the analysis of some rural development indicators for districts of the Republic of Serbia and the city of Belgrade (without Kosovo and Metohija). The analysis is based on published statistical data for three time sequences, related to 1997, 2002 and 2005. There were analyzed national income per capita, ratio of the maximal and minimal national income per capita and share of the national income of agriculture in the total national income. it is evident that the national income per capita and the ratio of the maximal and minimal national income per capita in majority of districts show high variability in the examined period (1997-2005). The share of the national income from agriculture in the total national income is relatively high in the districts of Region 1 and region 2, with the values in the interval of 25-58%. The share of the national income from agriculture in the total national income in the districts of Region 3 is lower than that in Regions 1 and 2, with the values in the interval of 17-42%. The differences between the districts of Regions 1 and 2 and the districts of region 3 are evident. The calculated values of Gini-coefficients indicate that regional disparity in examined period increased.
