The effect of Magnisul fertilizer application was tested in three-year (2006- 2008) small-plot experiment on location Žabčice (near Brno) and in field test on location Bŕežany (near Znojmo), Both localities are situated in southern Moravia. Different combinations of Magnisul and ammonium nitrate with dolomite were compared. Terms of application were tillering and beginning of stem elongation. The grain yield and quality was mainly influenced by the year of testing. Magnisul application at the beginning of stem elongation increased the yield by 38 and 39% respectively in comparison with control (zero treatment) in three-year average. Differences among different combinations of Magnisul and ammonium nitrate with dolomite were not significant in both experiments. Concerning qualitative parameters, Magnisul application positively influenced sedimentation value, particularly with repeated application of Magnisul in both vegetation stages. The increases were by 35% in comparison with control in small-plot experiment and 17% in comparison to ammonium nitrate with dolomite in field test. In general, better effect of Magnisul was observed in dry year 2007 with application at the beginning of stem elongation.
