The paper presents objectives, methodology and results obtained up to now from the evaluation of intersectoral relations in the field of forest biomass utilization for energy in Slovakia, situation in forestry and related documents. The evaluation of the act on renewable sources of energy and its effects on production of forest fuel biomass is given. Current state in the production of fuel biomass in forestry and its utilization in energetics, industry and municipal housing sphere does not correspond to potentials. One of main reasons is lacking coordination of relevant legislation, generally compulsory regulations as well as their insufficient implementation. Another result of activity solution will be a proposal of measures for horizontal coordination of political documents and generally compulsory legal norms of related sectors and fields concerning utilization of forest biomass for energy production.
