Inputs/outputs balance of nitrogen was realized under integrated (IS) and ecological (ES) farming system. Within both farming systems two variants were investigated: fertilized and non fertilized. Crops used in the experiment are as follows: winter wheat, spring bariey, lucerne, pea, silage corn, faba bean. Rotations of crops in IS and ES are shown in table 1 and 2. Fertilization was performed on the basis of soil and plant analyses using balance method. Inputs of nutrient included nutrients from seed, organic and mineral fertilizers, symbiotic fixation, asimbiotic fixation and precipitation. Outputs of nutrients were represented by off-take by crop yield, off-take by by-product, leaching, volatilization and denitrification. The balance was calculated as difference of total inputs and total outputs. Percentages of nutrient substitution were calculated as total inputs divided by total output and multiplied by 100. Percentage of nitrogen substitution amounted 99.24% in the integrated farming system and 83.27% in the ecological farming system on fertilized variants. On non fertilized variants percentage of nitrogen substitution was 59.70% in integrated farming system and 69.73% in ecological farming system.
