The identification and the prevelance of PVX, PVY and PVS on the Lady Rosetta, Lady Olimpia, Russet Burbank, Hermes, Panda, Lady Claire ve Granola potato cultivars grown in growth room by DAS-ELISA and RT-PCR and the comparison of results were aimed in the study conducted between 2006-2007. The seeds of all potato cultivars were sprouted and then each seed was taken as a sample and the leaves growing out from the seeds were used for virus-testing. No visual symptom was observed on the foliage of potatoes. A total of 304 samples were tested in the study.

土耳其. İklim odasında yetiştirilen Lady Rosetta, Lady Olimpia, Russet Burbank, Hermes, Panda, Lady Claire ve Granola patates çeşitlerinde 2006-2007 yıllarında yürütülen bu çalışmada Patates X virüsü (PVX), Patates Y virüsü (PVY) ve Patates S virüsü'nün (PVS) saptanması ve yaygınlık oranlarının DAS-ELISA ve RT-PCR yöntemleriyle belirlenmesi ve sonuçların kıyaslanması amaçlanmıştır. Adı geçen patates çeşitlerinin yumruları filizlendirilmiş, her yumru bir örnek olarak alınmış ve yumrulardan gelişen yapraklar virüslerin testlenmesinde kullanılmıştır. Patateslerin yapraklarında hiçbir belirtiye rastlanmamıştır.
