The evolution of secured transactions

The evaluation and comparison of several countries and their practices involving security and transfer of credit are examined in this report. The analysis includes the substance of secured transactions - the contractual arrangements, the nature of secured interests, and the effect on the contractual parties. Also included is analysis representing the major important technical aspects of secured transactions - priority rules, registration rules, and enforcement of secured interests. The paper concludes with details of the evolution of secured transactions' laws in each legal system. The primary goal of the paper is to demonstrate that not only do the secured transactions' laws vary among legal systems, the pattern of evolution is also different.
