World population projections - 1984 : short- and long-term estimates by age and sex with related demographic statistics

This report gives detailed population projections by age and sex for each country at 5 year intervals from 1980 to 2025 and at 25 year intervals for a 175 year period. The implied fertility, mortality, and migration measures (total fertility rates, gross reproduction rates, net reproduction rates, life expectancy at birth, crude birth rates, net migration rates, and growth rates) are also given. Summary results of these projections were given in the World Development Indicators, 1984. Countries are grouped by geographical regions following the patterns established by the United Nations. Classification by income groups is based on the criteria in the World Development Report 1984.
