The title has been changed to reflect the expanded scope of material treated within this book and to indicate that the Navy's organization of RDT and E interact substantially with the private sector. With one exception, all material in this book is self-explanatory. The name index identifies all persons mentioned and the pages on which references to these individuals are found.
