In the article, a review of the state of stockbreeding at present was made. It shows that restructuring of the branch in the resent 20 years in the conditions of market economy leads to decreasing of the number of animal farms and decreasing of the number of animals about 60 %.Nowadays more than 90 % of animal production in Bulgaria is accomplished in small farms and only 8.2 % of pigs and 0.8 % of goats in professional farms. In the article, an analysis of labor hygiene was carried out. Some basic points at ecology of these ecotechnical systems were shown in accordance with the EU ecological requirements after 2007 and the present conditions of animal breeding were shown as well.
