It was conducted a study of the correlation between some morphological and reproductive traits of 16 experimental mutant maize hybrids. In 2005, 2006 and 2008 at the fields of Institute of Maize – Knezha were made field experiments without irrigation by an agro technique adopted for the region. It was established a positive correlation both between grain yield and some of its structural elements length and diameter of the ear, number of rows of the ear, number grain in row of the ear, weight of the grain and weight of the ear and between the grain yield and the tested two morphological traits the plants total height of the plant and height of the ear. The correlation between the traits may serve to the selection process of creating of genotypes with appropriate quality and characteristics.
