In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of different sowing methods and their impact on individual productivity of millet (Panicum miliaceum) plants of different varieties (ssp. Subflavum – Halinka variety; and ssp. subcocceneum - Belorusskoe variety). In order to increase resistance and adaptability of millet to unfavourable conditions in course of the study the main attention was given to studying millet variety, sowing methods, as well as use of plant growth regulators of natural origin (Rastim; Ehkosil; Albit). In course of the study there was presented a rate of the studied factors of elements of crop productivity; changes of biometric parameters of millet under different sowing terms and plant growth regulators. It was established that wide-row sowing could increase panicle length by 1,5-15,3%, its productivity – by 5,1-12,9%, thousand kernel weight – on 1,6-4,2%. The use of growth regulators rendered positive effect on yield structure elements of millet regardless of the used sowing method. There was marked increasing of seed yielding capacity in average on 4,1 centner/ha or on 11,8%. Application of plant growth regulators caused the increased yield of Galinka variety on 3,8 centner/ha (11,2%) and Belorusskoe variety – on 4,5centner/ha (12,7%) (in comparison with the control indexes – on 33,8 and 35,3 centner/ha respectively).
