In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were studied peculiar features of biology of seed germination of 11 ornamental species and 2 progeny (Lysimachia L. and Primula L.) of Primulaceae Vent family, which were introduced in the conditions of Belarus as promising plants for use on wide culture and as well as in amateur floriculture. Among the studied species there were representatives of Lysimachia punctate L., Primula auricular, P. halleri J.F. Gmel, Primula veris, Lysimachia cletroides, P. bulleyana Forrest, P. burmanica Baff f. et Ward, P. denticulate, P. florindae Ward., P. japonica A. Gray, and P. pulverulentha Duthie. It was established, that seeds of the investigated of Lysimachia L. kinds are characterized by a narrow temperature optimum of germination – 25 deg C, their germination begins for 5-th day. As against them, seeds of Primula L. kinds sprout in 7-14 days in wider range of temperatures from 15 up to 20 deg C. The storage seeds Primula florindae Ward, results in loss by them germination in year of a storage on 40%, and in 3 years almost on 60%.
