In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were studied the peculiar features and genetic properties of plant varieties by means of application of diallel analysis methods based on F1 hybrid data. Also there were given results of evaluation of initial forms of hexaploid triticale (Triticosecale) varieties and hybrids of foreign selection according to their general and specific combination ability. There was determined the general combination ability and specific combination ability of 20 lines and combinations of F1 hybrids according to the main economically valuable productivity indicators. There were chosen lines with the highest yielding capacity and productivity and established the value of each line and hybrid for future programmes. Results of research could be used for further work with the most valuable varieties of those examined: Disko, Mikhas, Dubrava which proved to be perspective for production short-stemmed progeny in a combination with the dense productive plant stand and high grain content per ear.
