Potato fields planted with different varieties and seed generations were inspected in Minsk region of Republic of Belarus in 2010 for assessment of spread of potato (Solanum tuberosum) virus diseases and species diversity of their causative agents. On the basis of the ELISA test results it was found out that PVX, PVY, PVS, PVM, PVA and PLRV spread widely in all examined regions. The most prevalence were PVS (16,5 – 66,9%) and PVM (8,5 – 50,2%); PVY spread were less and equal 19,5 – 34,9%; PVX, PLRV and PVA spread were far less – 9,5 – 31,3, 3,5 – 15,0 and 3,1 – 23,0 respectively. Conducted assessment let previously marked Minsk and Kletsk districts as more phytovirological resistance in Minsk region. As a result of analysis of potato fields in different types of farms it was cleared up that level of virus infection depends not only on seed production but on level of seed production technique in every farm and level of variety virus resistance.
