COMPORTAMIENTO DE LOS NIVELES DE CONSANGUINIDAD EN LA RAZA EQUINA HISPANO – ÁRABE

We determined the inbreeding levels evolution of in the Hispanic- Arabian horse breed, through analysis of 1669 individuals born between 1962 and 2010, genealogical data got by in the Stud Book of the breed. We used the probabilistic method derived from the basic concepts of population genetics: the individual levels of inbreeding. The values of individual inbreeding coefficients were calculated through the relationships matrix, by the program MTDFREML option MTDFNRM. And the increase of inbreeding for year was obtained by regressing the individual levels of inbreeding on year of birth, using the PROC GLM process in SAS statistical package(SAS,2001). Our results show a kinship with an upward trend, with an annual increase of 0.05 p.100, finding a Fmedia = 0.032, very low values which are basically due to the continue introduction of new animals the breed.

Se determino la evolución de los niveles de consanguinidad en los caballos de la raza Hispano – Árabe, mediante el análisis de 1669 individuos nacidos entre 1962 y 2010, datos genealógicos presentes en el Libro Genealógico de la raza. Se ha utilizado el método probabilístico derivado de los conceptos básicos de la genética de poblaciones: los niveles individuales de consanguinidad. Los valores de los coeficientes de consanguinidad individual fueron calculados a través de la matriz de parentescos, obtenida a partir de la subrutina MTDFNRM del programa MTDFREML. El incremento de consanguinidad por año ha sido obtenida mediante una regresión de los niveles de la consanguinidad individual respecto al año de nacimiento, utilizado para ello el procedimiento PROC REG del paquete estadístico (SAS, 2001). Los resultados muestran una consanguinidad con tendencia al alza, teniendo un incremento del 0,05 p.100 anual, encontrando una Fmedia = 0,032, valores muy bajos que básicamente son debido a la introducción permanente de sangre nueva a la raza.
