Silage of whole corn plant biomass (ZP 735) was prepared without additive (Control), with addition of bacterial inoculant (I), and with addition of Benural (B) in the amount of 1% of fresh biomass weight. Whole corn plant could be ensiled successfully without and additive. Supplementation of Benuralin the amount of 1%increases the crude prtein content of the silage up to 50%. Adding inoculant and Benural is increasing lactic acid production to 44-47% and acetic acid production to 49-74%, which improved aerobic stability of the silage and contributed to more favorable ration between two acids (2-3:1). Application of inoculant reduced the level of ADF and increased the nutritive value expressed as NE (NEl and NEm units), and as relative feed value, with improved capacity for dry matter intake. Addition of inoculant based on homo- and heterofermentative bacteria increased lactic and acetic acid production resulting in better aerobic stability and higher nutritive value.
