In this paper were analised the existing knowledge and the results of research related to the impact of the chosen working parameters of combines, (which is primarily related to the working speed and the rpm of the drum,) on quality of the harvesting corn depending on the type of hybrids and moisture content of grain. The results indicate that with increasing rpm of drum extensive, ranging from 160 rpm and 360 rpm, contribution of cracked grains in total corn weight varies from 0.52% to 1.64% and the percentage of damaged grains from 2.4% to 6.51%. The percentage of damaged grains was on the rise with the increasing speed of the drum and the increasing speed of the combine. Realized results of cracked grains and damaged grains were achieved according to low grain losses. On the corn head, losses were ranged from 0.142% to 0.681% while the threshing losses ranged from 0.076% to 0.246%. The results of the quality of the New Holland CSX 7040 combine, which was used as a control and for comparison of research results are similar to those achieved with tested John Deere 1450 WTS Series 2.
