The global financial crisis has had a negative impact on the domestic economy, resulting in a much more complicated task of achieving the most important indicators specified in the Concept of long-term socio-economic development of the Russian Federation until 2020. Implementation of the goals depends on a number of factors, including, how successful energy efficiency policy in Russia will be implemented. In this regard, actual task is to analyze the impact of the energy factor on the dynamics of change of gross domestic product in Russia
