[The Effect of Mixed Infection by Cucumber Mosaic Cucumovirus and Zucchini yellow Mosaic Potyvirus on Squash and Pumpkin]

The interaction between CMV and ZYMV in mixed infection on squash var Lena and pumpkin var Local,was studied. And results shows that there is no synergistic effect between CMV and ZYIMV in mixed infection on symptoms on squash. As the symptoms resulted from mixed infection by ZYMV, CMV were resulted to that resulted from single infection by ZYMV Nor single or mixed infection affects the number of male or female flowers per plant, the percentage of female flowers, the average weight of ripping sqnash and pumpkin, the number of seeds, the average weight of seeds. Single infection by ZYMV had decreased the percentage of transplanted seeds, where as, nor single or mixed infection by CMV and ZYMV affects. ZYMY, CMV transmission through seeds was negative in squash, where it was 0.375% in the case of single infection by ZYMV in pumpkin, 0.25% in case of single infection by CMV and only 0.25% for ZYMV in case of mixed infection.
