Chemotheraphy for intraocular lymphoma in two dogs: A case report

2-year and 4-month-old male Thai Bangkaew was presented with a history of an abnormal mass in the anterior chamber of the left eye for three weeks. No evidence of enlarge superficial lymph nodes was detected. Cytology of the aqueous humor collected by paracentesis indicated intraocular lymphoma. Chemotherapy was the treatment of choice. Three weeks after chemotherapy, no tumor mass in the anterior chamber was observed. Chemotherapy was continued for six months and no recurrence was noted up to eight months after discontinuing the chemotherapy. Vision was successfully preserved. And another 5-year-old male Poodle was presented with hyphema in both eyes for one week. Both submandibular lymph nodes were enlarged. Fine needle aspiration of the lymph node and anterior chamber paracentesis were performed. Cytology showed a diagnosis of lymphoma. The dog was died during the first three months of chemotherapy.
