In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented the results of study of the effectiveness of agricultural practices of growing of cucumber (Cucumis sativus) in the open ground with the use of mechanization means. The optimal technological parameters of production of cucumber were determined. The advantages of growing cucumber from cassette seedlings were determined. They showed that yields of F1 hybrids Veselka and Koralovy Rif have increased by 34-36% as compared with the method of planting from seeds in open field. At the same time, the massive blooming was on17 days earlier and the harvest was two weeks earlier when cucumber was grown from seedlings. There was determined the optimum doze of complex mineral fertilizers at which young fruit of cucumber productivity of studied hybrids was received at the level of 51,3-60,5 ton/hectare (the yield increase has made 20-23%). The greatest effect was obtained with the use of complex mineral fertilizers at a dose of N90P83K131. With the given doze of fertilizers the content of nitrates in production has decreased on 40-42%. The recoupment of 1 kg NPK has made 33-34 kg of production. Optimal density of plant stands standing of the F1 hybrid Korallovyj Rif was 39 thousand pieces/hectares, F1 hybrid Vyasyolka - 47 thousand pieces/hectares. Thus, productivity of young cucumber fruit has made respectively 49.0 and 63.8 ton/hectare, yields of gherkin - 38,1 and 47,1 ton/hectare.
