In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was studied a method of early introduction of various feeds in containers with prelarva predatory fish species (pike (Esox lucius) and catfish (Silurus glanis)). The research into early introduction of feed (50% of live + 50% start feed) into reservoirs with prelarva of predatory fish established that it helps to reduce the period of transition of prelarva to self-feeding: for pike – by 48 hours, for catfish – by 24 hours in comparison with traditional beginning of feed introduction. It also helps to increase viability of larva during the transition to self-feeding: for pike – by 14 % (test group), for catfish larva – by 16.7 % in comparison with the control one; to reduce the coefficient of weight variation: for pike – by 5.5 % (test group), and for catfish larva – by 7.2 % in comparison with the control one.
