In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of estimation of the need for regimes of agricultural lands irrigation and its basing in the conditions of Mogilev region (Belarus). Thee were shown calculations of yield increase, based water consumption and regime of irrigation of crops, and estimated efficiency of irrigation, taking into account calculated yield increase. Norms of irrigation for loamy soils were given taking into account realization of actions for increase of their water absorption capacity (loosening, soil slitting, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring high-quality watering with overhead irrigation. Average annual calculated increases of crop yielding capacity depending on irrigation on loamy soils were presented. Thus, the conducted researches testify to need and economic efficiency of irrigation of agricultural lands in the conditions of the Mogilev area. At the same time, the choice of prime construction objects and reconstruction of irrigating systems has to be based first of all on the accounting of biological efficiency of the irrigated lands, the reached level of agricultural production and economy specialization. Even at the predesign stage the special attention has to be paid to the feasibility study on need of construction or reconstruction of irrigating systems. Besides, it is necessary to increase cardinally the quality of the works connected with the organization and carrying out watering of agricultural grounds.
