L'insemination artificielle chez l'oie grise des Landes : bilan et perspectives

英语. In France, artificial insemination of geese is rarel practiced. It could, however, increase the number of goslings produced. Different studies have been conducted at the Experimental Station of Palmipedes a Foie Gras in order to establish physiological and technical basis for artificial insemination. Dorso-abdominal massage of the ganders allowed the collection of about 0.3 ml of semen containing 150 million spermatozoa. About 40 % of the males do not respond to this stimulation. The best male donors could be selected at the beginning of the reproductive season. Three to five times a week was determined to be the most efficient frequency of collection. The highest fertility rate (80 % eggs fertile/incubated) was obtained with doses of 20 x 1 10 spermatozoa, inseminated twice a week separated by an interval of 72 or 96 hours. Dilution of the semen increased its fertilizing ability and consequently decreased the number of spermatozoa required for insemination. Semen can be diluted and stored for a short time (6 hours) without inducing a significant decrease in the fertility rate (71.9 % vs 75.1 % with undiluted fresh semen).

法语. L’insémination artificielle chez l’oie, actuellement peu utilisée, pourrait permettre une amélioration de la productivité numérique de cette espèce. Une série de travaux a été réalisée à la Station Expérimentale des Palmipèdes à Foie Gras,visant à en établir les bases physiologiques et techniques. La méthode de massage dorso-abdominale permet de récolter chez le jars gris des Landes en moyenne 0,3 ml de sperme renfermant 150 millions de spermatozoïdes. L’adaptabilité des mâles à la méthode de collecte est très variable (environ 40 %de « mauvais » ou non-donneurs), mais un tri en début de saison de reproduction pourrait permettre de ne garder que les bons donneurs. La fréquence de prélèvement optimale des mâles se situe entre 3 et 5 fois par semaine. Les taux de fécondation les plus élevés (80 % oeufs fécondés / incubés) sont obtenus avec deux inséminations hebdomadaires (espacées de 72 ou 96 heures) de 20 millions de spermatozoïdes. L’emploi d’un dilueur adapté semble améliorer le pouvoir fécondant des spermatozoïdes,ce qui permet d’envisager la réduction du nombre de spermatozoïdes inséminés. Par ailleurs, la semence peut être diluée et conservée pendant une courte période (6 heures) sans entraîner une chute importante du taux de fertilité(71,9 % vs 75,1 % avec du sperme frais non dilué), assouplissant ainsi les « chantiers» d’insémination artificielle.
