The Efficacy of Rodenticides Samirat and Bromo in rodent Control

The efficacy of rodenticides Bromo(Bromodialone ingredient) in wax block bait shape and acute rodenticides Samirat (Zinc phosphide ingredient) in wax block bait shape by using prebait in alfalfa in Chandab region in Tehran Province and in Sojas region in Zanjan province were investigated. The project was done in randomized complete block design in five treatment and three replications. The rodenticides efficacies were evaluated by counting active holes seven days after treatment. Seven days after treatment rodenticides efficacy were found to reach average efficacy of 74 %(Samirat with prebait),50.1%(Samirat without prebait), 81% (Bromo), 84% control (Brodifacoum rodenticides) and 22% control (without rodenticides) in Chandab in Tehran province. Seven days after treatment rodenticides efficacies were found to reach average efficacy of 80 %(samirat with prebait), 54% (Samirat without prebait), 90% (Bromo), 78% Control (Bradifacoum rodenticides) and 30% (control without rodenticides) in Sojas region in Zanjan Province. These findings indicates use of prebait in case of acute rodenticides Samirat(Zinc phosphid) significantly improve rodent pest management programs. More obtained results showed significant efficacy of Bromo (Bromodialone) for rodent control in fields.
