Study of combining ability and continuing selfing of sweet corn lines

In order to prepare and selection of the best sweet corn lines and to cross them with tester lines to produce new combinations, 123 lines were planted and evaluated in 200 rows at all. Obligate selfing for 7-10 plants in each line and hybridizing between some lines with testers KS2/2-8, KS8/1-1, KS13/2 and KS6222 were done. Resulted seeds form selfing and hybridizing will be used in the breeding program
