Thin blood smears were monthly prepared from 2700 buffaloes (different age and sex)of Khoozestan province. They were fixed with metanol then stained with Gimsa and examined for the presence of blood protozoa. only 82 (2.97%) out of 2700 blood smears were positive theileria annulata. 3.96% (107/2700) Anaplasma sp. 0.33% (9/2700)Babesia bovis and 0.07%(2/2700) Eperythrozoon wenyom.
