Selection of genetic materials from segregation population is a main stage in plant breeding, and will help us to get high yield varieties. In this stage proper barley traits that effects crop yield, environmental adaptation and crop quality were selected to increase crop yield potential. Eeach traits control by one or some genes Here by with genetic diversity creation and hybridization and different masses of crops can select from segregation population the best varieties resistant to pests and diseases, tolerance to cold and drought, which are important in cold and dry areas. This study catted out by cooperation with ICARDA in 2000-200 1 and included 980 masses in four barley segregating populations (F2,F3,F4,F5). For populations selection from modified bulk method in generations F2, P3 ,F4, pedigree method in generation F5 and bulk method in generations F6,F7 applied. So from 252 F2 generations 74 populations ,from 497 F3 generations 126 population, from 95 Ft generations 17 populations and from 136 F5 generations 26 populations selected, based on characters: early maturity, drought/cold tolerance, pests and diseases resistance, lodging and abscission resistance, plant heighproper tiller number, nanow and pubescent leaves Selected populations will be evaluate in generations F3,F4,F5,F6 respectively in 2001-2002.
