Evaluation of chickpea international nursery and advanced internal lines to Ascochyta blight in dry land areasý.

In this study 40 international and 20 advanced internal chickpea ines along with one susceptible check pine was evaluated for resistance to Ascochyta rabiei in the vegetative, podding and maturity stages. Blight symptoms were recorded based on 1-9 point scale. Field tests were conducted in Randomized Completed Block Design with 2 replications in 3 areas: Sararood Station in Kermanshah, Ilam and Gonbad stations. The results showed that in Sararood station among international lines 35 lines were moderately resistant(MR) and 5 lines were susceptible(S). In Ilam station 19 lines were resistant(R), 20 lines were susceptible(S) and one line was high susceptible(HS). Also among 20 internal chickpea lines in Sararood station, 13 lines were(MR) and 7 lines were (S) in Ilam station 6 lines were(MR) and 14 lines were (S) MR in Gonbad station 11 lines were(R) and 9 lines were (MR )respectively. Among 13 other internal chickpea studied lines in Sararood station, 10 lines(MR) and 3 lines were 9line we (S) respectively.
