Thirteen advanced safflower lines obtained from crosses along with released cultivar of Sina were evaluated in four cold research stations during three years. All trials were planted as complete block design with three replications during early autumn and fertilizers were applied according to N50:P20 formula in the planting time. Some agronomic characteristics were noted and analyzed. Some plots were lost due to severe drought in the first year (2007-2008) and the results of two years were used to implication and adaptability analysis. The stability analysis showed that line number 1 had the lowest mean rank (4.3) and was a high yielding line (990 kg/ha) over years and locations. Meanwhile, this line had the second smallest standard deviation (2.8) so it was one of the most stable lines as well as high performance in this research. Lines number 1, 2, 5, 6 and 13 were selected for on-farm demonstration trial and cultivar release during 2010-2011.
