Comparison technical efficiency for industrial dairies of milk production in Chaharmahal va Bakhtiari provience

According of avilable informations, 87 industrial dairies of milk production (66 units are active and 21 units are inactive) with total capacity 9933 heads exist in chaharmahal va bakhtiari provience.for fullfilment of this study ,needed informations have gathered from 45 industrial dairies of milk production. In average ,the capacity of sampled units is 81 heads and dairy cow number for each unit is 25 heads. In this study, two production functions (Cobb-Douglas) have estimated , one for all observations (without concentrate) and other with concentrate (for 37 observations). specification coefficient for 45 observations is 59 percent and forage has largest elastisity , however specification coefficient for 37 observations is 81 percent and concentrate has largest elastisity . althugh the coefficient of labure is not significant. Comparison value of marginal product for production factors with their prices shows that concentrate consumption is less than optimum amunt,forage consumption is further than optimum amunt and labure is used less than optimum amunt. The average of technical efficiency (for 45 observations) is 93.2 percent and 58 percent of observations have technical efficiency less than 95 percent. The average of technical efficiency (for 37 observations) is 95.5 percent ,while minimum and maximum of technical efficiency is respectively 88 and 100 percent. According to these informations ,the correlation between technical efficiency and dairy cow number is 43.3 percent (for 45 observations ) and this coefficient for 37 observations is 21.3 percent.
