Effects of Deficit Irrigation at Different Growth Stages of Apricot on the Yield, Fruit Quality and Water Use Efficiency in Urmia

In order to study the effects of deficit irrigation at growth stages of apricot on the yield, fruit quality and determine water use efficiency, an experiment was carried out with randomized complete block design and five treatments in three replications. The treatments were as follow: I1 _Irrigation based on 75% evaporation of A pan at all growth stages I2 _Irrigation based on 50% evaporation of A pan until pit hardening stage and 75% evaporation of A pan until harvesting and 50% evaporation of A pan after harvesting. stage and irrigated in other growth stages. I5 _ Irrigation based on 75% evaporation of A pan until harvesting and 50% evaporation of A pan irrigated after harvesting. The irrigation water was measured by counter. After maturing the fruit, the production was harvested. After determining the yield, fruit quality and water use efficiency, statistical analyzesed the experimental data. The Mstatc software was applied for statistical analyzes of yield, fruit quality and water use efficiency. According to statistical analyzes results, main effect of deficit irrigation for yield and water use efficiency was significant at 1% and the I2 treatment (irrigation based on 50% until pit hardening and 75% until harvesting and 50% evaporation of A pan after harvesting ) had more yield , water use efficiency and was in upper class than others
