Effect of plant density and zinc sulfate application on the yield and quality of naked seed pumpkin

In order to study the effect of ZInC sulfate application and row spacing on the quality and quantity of naked seed pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo Var styriaca) two separated experiment was conducted from 2000- 2001. Three inter row spaces (100, 150, 200 em) by single rows arrangement and (200, 300, 400 em) by double rows arrangement were used in second year. Differences among inter row spaces were statically significant for fruit yield and seed yield per plot. Maximum seed weight belongs to 200 ern treatment in rate of 754 kg/ha, In second experiment 4 levels of zinc sulfate application was examinated. Maximum seed weight and zinc content was obtained in three times foliar application.
