Variability of GE, DE, ME and ocr content, Insitu dry matter and effective degradability dry matter of 13 range plants in semi-arid of Esfahan province were determind. Following species from different parts of Esfahan were taken: Agropyron trichophorum(link.) richiter, Stipa barbata Desp., Onobrichis melanotrica Boiss., Astragalous cyclophilous Beck, Eurotia Ceratoides(l.) C. A. Meyer, Sedlitzia rosmarinou (Ehe rnrb) Bge, Haloxylon ammodendrum, Atriplex cyclophylous Allen, Cachrys ferolacea (I.) calestani, Frula ovina (Boiss), Eryngium billardieri Delar and Artemisia herbalba. The greatest change oceured in Frula ovina which changed from 22.4 to 3.5 % . Onobrichis and stipa showned that the highest and lowest crude protein content including 13.8 and 4.5%, respectivily, In situ dry matter degradation of the native plants were deterrnind based on the nylon bag technique. The samples taken at diff~rent stages of phenology were used for determination of in situ dry matter degradibility. They were incubated at 0, 8, 16, 24, 48, 72 and 48 hours for evaluation of digestibility. Effective degradability and degradability and soluble fraction declined with age and insoluble fraction increased. The highest degradability at 48 hours (%93) and effective degradable dry matter with considering rumen out flow rate 9\{.6 per hours (%88.7) in v.egitative stages of Cachrys ferulacea.
