The gates are among the most important parts of flood spreading systems which play the role in spreading and premibility of the delivered flood flows. To optimize the type and dimenssions of the gates and to simplify them have a remarkable effect in increasing the efficiency of flood spreading systems function, moreover considering the greate number of them required in flood spreading basins, they can have an extraordinary role in decrasing executive expenses. The gates of mattress gabion, Boxlike and stone and cement are the three types of structures evaluated. Since there is a little experience in designing and networks, it is significantly important to examine how the selected gates function. It is very important to pay attention to the topographical conditions of the basin and the used matterials in constructing the structure in order to achieve the given goals. In this project, after selecting the gates, the outgoing flow from each gate was measured and recorded through installing a gauge. Every gate in the spreading network was evaluated by examining parameters such as the structure stability against discharge, upstream and downstream erosion, cavitation depth and other given parameters. The results obtained from economical comparison of various types of the gates showed that the gabion gates of mattress type were paied the least construction expenses. Also from technical point of view, by means of comparing the three types of constructed gates over spreading chanals and with respect to the delivered floods spreaded over all basins, it was noticed that all the gates have meetting necessary stability and solidity against the floods and there has not been any specific problem...
