Somatic cells content in Saanen goats' milk depending on age and seasons of the year

It was carried out the research directed on studying of somatic cells in goats' milk. To determine the influence of various factors on the physic-chemical composition and content of somatic cells in Saanen goats' milk at the experiment station of the GNU SNIIZHK has been established the experiment to study the physical and chemical composition, the content of somatic cells in the goat milk, depending on the number of lactations and seasons of the year. It should be noted that the content of somatic cells in the goats' milk of the institute gene pool farm in all seasons corresponds to animal physiology. Fluctuation range of somatic cells is high - from 128 to 1500. The studies revealed the increase of somatic cells content up to 20% with age increasing. This work is aimed to study the influence of various factors on the physic-chemical composition and somatic cells content in the goats' milk and is in the beginning of its development.
