Objectives of this experiments were to determine the effect of guar meal (GM 35 CP%) supplementation as a protein source to replace with soybean meal (SBM) in duck diets on performance and carcass quality. One hundred and sixty, 1 day old Barbary ducks were randomly allotted to 5 treatments with 4 replications (8 birds per replication) according to a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The experiment was divided into 3 periods as follows: nursery period (1-28 days of age), growing period (29-56 days of age) and finishing period (56-84 days of age), respectively. Dietary treatments were formulated using GM at 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20%. Diets and water were provided ad libitum throughout 84 days. The results showed that feeding ducks with diet containing GM more than at 10% caused in decreased weight gain, average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake (ADFI), feed conversion ratio (FCR) and protein efficient ratio (PER) (P<0.01) compared to control diets. At the end of feeding trials (84 days), 64 ducks (2 Males and 2 Females per replication) were randomly selected and slaughtered to determine for carcass quality and characteristics. The results revealed that warm carcass percentage, breast meat, wing, thigh, heart, liver, gizzard, spleen, abdominal fat and carcass grade (P>0.05) were no significant differences among dietary treatments. Key words : guar meal (GM), duck, performance and carcass quality
