Investigation on effects of nitrogen rates on yield , nitrate accumulation and quality of three tomato varieties.

To investigate the effect of nitrogen on yield, yield components and nitrate accumulation in three tomato varieties, a factorial experiment was conducted managed in randomized complete block design with 4 replications in Mashhad station. Nitrogen levels were: 0, 150 , 200 , 250 and 300 kg per hectar in the form of urea and tomato varieties were :Mobile,Petoearly ch and Gina vf. Results showed that tree varieties had no significant differences in yield, yield components and amounts of nitrate in fruit . nitrogen application had significant effects on yield and nitrate content of fruit. The greatest yield and nitrate concentration was resulted from 150 kg per hectar nitrogen. Treatments had no significant effects on pH and brix
