In order to investigate the tolerance of newly-bred rapeseed lines to drought stress, this experiment conducted using of 30 pure lines of rapeseed as well as two old common cultivars, Okapi(winter type) and RGS003(spring type). The experiment carried out at research field of Seed and Plant Improvement Institute(SPII) implementing a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications in two years(2010 -11, 2011-12).All lines and cultivars seeded in early of fall each year and irrigation discontinued after full flowering stage to provide stress condition, which coincided with spring rainfall interruption. After seed maturity and full ripening, plants were harvested manually and threshed by harvester machine and seed yield was calculated and oilseed content analyzed. Also yield components such as pods per plant, seeds per pod and seed yield and plant height measured. Simple data analyze of variance for each year showed that lines and cultivars were significantly different for seed oil content, seed weight and seeds per pods in the first year and for plant height, seed oil content, pods per plant and seeds per pod in the second year. Since lines and cultivars did not have significantly different in terms of seed yield under stress condition, it is recommended to introduce RGS003 as a volunteer cultivars in rapeseed farming areas which encounters to late spring drought condition usually. RGS003 is a spring cold-tolerated cultivar and has a less maturity time and can escape from drought condition of late spring in most cold and mild cold regions. Combined analyze of variance only conducted for oil seed contents as error mean of squares (EMS) of two years of experiment were uniform but there was not any significant difference among lines and cultivars.
