Study of yield adaptation in new early maturity corns
1998
Vahdat, Iraj | Khavari, Saeid
In this study 11 new early maturity corn hybrids compared with SC301 as a control for grain yield in torogh station for three following years (1371-73). Each of hybrids planted in four row on a complete randomized block design with four replications. The analysis of variaces showed significant differences between hybrids. The grain yield of hybrid NO.2. 10 and 11 was the highest yield in first year but hybrid NO.3 was the best hybrid in two other years. Combined analysis of variances showed that effect of year was significant but effect of interaction of year x hybrid was nonsignificant. Combined Analysis of variance for 3 years showed signigicant difference betwem hybrids and hybrid NO.3 (K 734/1/1 x S 61) and control were berrer than the other hybrids with 9 ton/ha grain yield thus it can be introduced to farmers.
