Investigation of characteristics of quantity and quality of carrot cultivars in Bushehr province

Ten carrot cultivars( Dantes tt.nantesm, nantes 2000, nantes forto nantes2 shinkurodo, tino, nantesE, nanco,Koronos)were tested on field of Agricultural Research Center in Borazjan for two years (1999-2000). This trail was carried out on Randomized Complete Block Design (R.C.B.D) with three replication.During the growing season agrotechnical, qantity and quality characters(canopy,colour,shape) were recoreded in during growing season and after harvesting carrot root were measured such tool, diametter, sugar content, acidity,T.S.S. and etc. Analysis of variance was done each year and a combined analysis of variance was done for a period of two years on quantity and quality characcteristics . results showed that nantes and shinkuroda cultivars were selected based on desirable qualitative and quantity charecteristics.
