Effects of Feed restriction on compensatory growth of farahani lambs

This study investigated the effect of restricted access to feed on compensatory growth in male lambs of Farahani. For this purpose, 80 male lambs Farahani two groups were divided into control and experimental. lambs in the control group from beginning to fully fed, but the experimental groups 60 days of access to food restriction was applied (60 percent of the diet control group). Lambs after the feed restriction period with the same diet group, fed. The growth rate, feed intake, daily gain and feed conversion ratio during the experiment was measured. Results showed that average daily gain differences between the two groups was significant (p0/01). Mean feed conversion ratio in whole period of the two groups was not significant. The average lean meat yield difference between two groups was significant (p0/01). Mean fat detachable (no tail fat), total carcass fat and fat tailed weight average in groups, there was no significant difference . Difference in average amount of total animal fat and visceral fat in both groups was significant (p0/01). The results of this experiment showed that if the male lambs Farahani, two months of food restriction is given, the lambs will be able to grow in their postponed for 57 days to feed about 93 percent of re-forming Compensation
