Optimal utilization of internal resources mostly depends to the comparative advantage. At this study, the Policy Analyses Matrix has been used to measure the comparative advantage of chicken meat production in Fars province. Needed information gathered using questionnaires filled by experts and the considered indexes calculated using Policy Analyses Matrix. The results indicate that the calculated Domestic Resource Cost is less than one and so there is comparative advantage in chicken production in Fars province. Net Social Benefit indicates that the chicken production structure uses the resources properly. Nominal Protection Coefficient is less than one that indicates that the market price of the product is less than the shadow price plus tax. The Social Benefit Cost is more than one that shows there is comparative advantage in production and export. The results of the Fars province indicate that the trend of the chicken production is increasing and more than the beef production but with less variation.
