This study was conducted in 2007 and 2008 growing season at Varamin, Karag, Safiabad of Dezfol and Darab of Fars. Experimental design was randomized complete blocks with split-plot arrangement with 12 treatments and 3 replications. Main factor contained stale seedbed technique at six levels including: 1-preplant irrigation+ mechanical weed control, 2-preplant irrigation+treflan (Trifloralin EC48%) at 2lit/ha preplant and soil incorporated+ galantsuper (Haloxifop Armetil Ester EC10.8%) at 0.75lit/ha postemergence, 3-preplant irrigation+ gramakson (Paraquat SL20%) 3lit/ha postemergence, 4-treflan at 2lit/ha preplant and soil incorporated+ galantsuper 0.75lit/ha postemergence, 5-Weedy check and 6-Weed free check. Sub factor contained planting date at two levels including: 1-Early planting date and 2- Late planting date. Number of weed species in the fall and number and dry weight of weed species per m2 in spring and rape seed yield were measured. Results of experiments showed that in all of experimental area the early planting date was the best date for planting rape. In the early planting date, preplant irrigation+ mechanical weed control treatment in the Darab, treflan+galantsuper and preplant irrgation+ treflan and galantsuper in the Karag were the best treatments for rape yield. In Tehran and Dezfol because of proper planting date, rape in the without preplant irrigation and without weed control treatments grow well and didn t have significant difference with treatments with preplant irrigation and herbiside. So, early planting of rape can cause rape have a competitive power for weed control and even don t need to irrigation. Key word: Rape, Planting date, Preplant irrigation, Weed control, Yield.
