A Comparing the study on Aloe Vera gel and Biomin Imbo in commercial laying hen's performance, egg qualitative traits and immune response.

This study was carried out using a completely randomized design to evaluate the effects of different levels of dietary inclusions of Aleo Vera gel, Biomin Imbo and Virginiamaycin on performance, and egg characteristics by incorporating of 288 commercial laying hens for 84 days. The hens were divided into six treatments and 4 replicates with 12 birds each and were offered standard feed ration with free water. The treatments were as follows: T1= Control groups (without feed additive), T2= T1+ 80mg Virginiamaycin, T3= T1+ Aleo Vera gel 1.5%, T4= T1+ Aleo Vera gel 3%, T5=T1+ Biomin Imbo 0.05% and T6= T1+ Biomin Imbo 0.1%. Performance and egg characteristics were studied for every 4 weeks of experiment. As performance of bird was concerned, feed efficiency, egg production percent and egg mass were recorded through out the experimental periods. Results showed that, Aleo Vera gel had significant effects on performance as compared to control groups (p0.05). In case of performance, Biomin Imbo had positive effect to increase, egg production rate, feed efficiency and egg mass also (p0.01), but had non significant effect on egg qualitative traits like; hugh unit, yolk coloration, egg especific gravity, egg shell strengh. Blood parameters also remained non-significant due to inclusions of Alloe Vera gel and Biomin Imbo. Finally, treatment 4 (T1+ Aleo Vera gel 3%) performed well with excellent results as compared to control and other related treatments through out the experimental period.
