A study on the influence of extremely high frequency waves on the biosynthetic activity of yeast strain Saccharomyces cerevisiae CNMN-Y-18 has been conducted. The biological effect of millimeter waves has been found to depend on the frequency and duration of the treatment. A stimulatory effect of millimetric waves has been observed on carbohydrate content, mannan biosynthesis, catalase activity, and protein content in the yeast biomass.
