This article discusses various ways to develop diagnostic algorithms of information systems used in agriculture. There are investigated modern requirements for diagnostics of hardware and software of automation in adriculture, as well as to the assessment of the technical facilities and degree of staff expertise. The main types of testing information systems and diagnostic algorithms are described in detail. The generalized algorithm testing of information systems is schematic representated.
