On the basis of results of agrochemical testing of agricultural soils, at present in the soils of Slovakia is on average 325.5 mg.kg Mg, i.e. category of "high" content. Magnesium-poor soils represent 5.87 % share of the total agriculture area of Slovakia, but Mg fertilization is necessary to provide for the 17.25 % share of the total agriculture area. The most at risk of group are appeared light soils, where was significantly greater decrease in magnesium, i.e. 23.7 mg.kg soil than in other soil textures in the comparison of the Xl. cycle. Soil reaction is another significant factor affecting the content of available magnesium for plants, especially on soils with strong acidic soil reaction was measured value of magnesium 121.7 mg.kg which was the lowest compared to higher of the pH categories.
