In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there were presented results of an assessment of 23 intervarietal hybrids of red table beet (Beta vulgaris) by their general yielding capacity. Objective of our research was to evaluate intervarietal beet hybrids by the complex of morphological and economically useful traits in order to select the most valuable breeding genotypes for further breeding. There were chosen samples for the further selection. As a result of the comparative evaluation there was found a significant difference in intervarietal hybrids by morphological, biological and economically valuable traits in their complex. As the initial material for further breeding beet there were identified the following the most valuable variety samples: 040-1, 040-2, 040-5, 043-26, 044-32, 041-19, 042-17, 0510-1, 0510-15.
