Evaluation of tolerance of 16 genotypes of rice under conditions of short age of limited water supply and water utilization efficiency. Field and screen house experiments were conducted in 2009 in Indramayu MK and Sukamandi. Field experiments carried out on land belonging to farmers in the village Cilandak, District Anjatan, Indramayu district from May to Desember 2009. Experiment was arranged using a randomized block design with 3 blocks of replications of each treatment were given three irrigation conditions, namely (a) normal (100 percent irrigated), (b) half-dry (75 percent irrigated), planting water is added to the age of one month after planting and subsequent supply of water every single week until just before harvest and (c) dry (50 percent irrigated), planting water is added to the age of one month after planting, then not given a supply of water until harvest. Characters measured were the percentage of empty grains per panicle, grain weight per unit area, and drought sensitivity index (S), and genotype superiority index (Pi). Experiment was conducted at the screen house Indonesian enter for Rice Research in July-October 2009. Experiments using completely randomized design with three replications. Three categories of water supply, namely: minimal (4000 cubic m/ha/season), optimal (square m/ha/season 5500), and more than enough (7000 cubic m/ha/season). The observed character of grain weight (f/pot DUP), filled grain percentage, plant height and flowering plants. The results showed that water stress during flowering increased the percentage of void panicle, and lower grain yield. Genotype AS996, OM5240, BP5478-2F-KN-1l-2-B and B11288-3-6-6-Pn tolerant to drought, and provide higher yields than INPARI 10, INPARI 1, Silugonggo, and Dodokan. Two genotypes AS996 and OM5240, including the efficient genotype groups in the use of water during planting.
